Jet boating is built for high-speed thrills including 360-degree spins, drifting and rapid manoeuvres, rather than a slower paced sightseeing cruise. As the Gold Coast's original jet boat operator, departing right from Surfers Paradise, we combine genuine adrenaline with real Gold Coast scenery. For a calmer, more leisurely way to see the waterways, our sister brands Aquaduck and Southern Cross Tours offer amphibious city tours and hinterland day trips. Many guests do a jet boat ride for the thrill and pair it with one of these for a different pace.
Paradise Jet Boating operates year-round, seven days a week, in most weather conditions, since you'll get wet either way, so rain isn't usually a dealbreaker. Queensland's warmer months are the most popular for jet boating, but the ride runs daily regardless of season, so any time of year works.

We strongly recommend booking in advance - rides sell out fast, especially on weekends and school holidays. Walk-up bookings are sometimes possible subject to availability, but booking ahead is the only way to guarantee your preferred time.

Yes, in most conditions, you'll get wet either way, so light rain doesn't stop the ride. We monitor weather radar in real time, and if genuinely dangerous conditions are forecast (lightning, severe storms), we may delay or cancel a ride for safety. Our skipper allocates seating before departure to keep everyone safe on board, taking into account weight distribution, group sizes and how many passengers safely fit in each row. Younger passengers are generally seated towards the rear. Seating isn't first come, first choice and may vary trip to trip, so once you're seated, sit tight until the skipper says otherwise.

Most guests enjoy the ride without any issue. However, because it involves sudden high-speed movement, we recommend checking with a doctor first if you're pregnant, or have a back, neck or heart condition, or a previous injury that could be aggravated by rapid motion, just so you can enjoy your ride with complete peace of mind.
Your safety always comes first. Our skippers monitor conditions throughout every ride and are trained to adjust the route, or return to shore early, if conditions call for it, so you're in experienced hands regardless of what the weather does.
No swimming ability is needed to enjoy the ride. Lifejackets are mandatory for every passenger throughout, so you're safely supported the whole time.
