Gold Coast Jet Boating back in action

Jet Boating » Gold Coast Jet Boating back in action

What if I had have told you six months ago that the world would come to a near standstill. That international travel would be stopped as countries closed their borders, schools and shops would close and you wouldn’t be able to have a BBQ in the park with any more than two people standing 1.5m apart. All this because a virus sharing the name with a popular beer which is believed to have started in China after a woman ate a bat soup, would sweep the entire globe (apart from Antarctica and the North Pole) overwhelming healthcare systems and killing hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. You would have called me crazy.  Yet here we are, slowly emerging from the apocalyptic reality we have been living for the past few months, a reality that all too closely resembled a Hollywood blockbuster movie.

Three months ago, as the covid-19 pandemic began to affect Australia, Paradise Jet Boating management made the difficult decision to temporarily cease all operations. In the weeks that followed, government restrictions increased meaning many more businesses had to close their doors, bringing the Gold Coast tourism and entertainment industries to a grinding halt.  It has been a tough few months for businesses like ours that have lost all income. Fortunately government initiatives have enabled us to keep our key staff employed and we have been able to use this time to improve our business operations, maintain our vessels and improve our procedures to enable us to reopen in accordance with government guidelines to ensure our passengers are kept safe while having fun on their jet boat adventure ride.

Finally, the time has come. You’re free! Free to get out of the house and start enjoying the things you love – like sunshine, fresh air, fun family activities, and outdoor adventures. With the easing of restrictions Paradise Jet Boating is pleased to announce that we have reopened on 27th June 2020, and have recommenced our award winning Gold Coast jet boat rides.

The local Gold Coast tourism industry needs your help.

Covid-19 has taken its toll on the industry with predictions forecasting a slow recovery over the next few years. In light of this, we are asking all Australians to take the pledge and make a commitment to holiday here this year.  The Gold Coast is Australia’s favourite holiday destination and with its great weather, world class beaches, beautiful hinterland and abundance of tours and activities on offer it’s the perfect place to spend your next holiday. While you’re here, join us for a spin on our Broadwater adventure ride and enjoy not only the thrills and excitement jet boats are famous for but also the beautiful scenery and sightseeing as we take you on a fun filled adventure ride covering 35km of the Gold Coast’s picturesque waterways.

We’ve been busy

While you were at home in lockdown, homeschooling and entertaining the kids and binge watching your favourite series on Netflix, our staff have been busy working behind the scenes on the following:

  • The departure lounge located at Mariners Cove has had a full COVID deep clean, re-paint and update to give a fresh new look ready to welcome back our valued guests.
  • Our Jet Boats have also have had a full COVID deep clean, a thorough maintenance programme completed, and are back in shape and our boats are very happy to be back where they belong, exploring our beautiful waterways.
  • With the reduced boat traffic on our waterways, we have seen an increase in marine life with dolphins playing and frolicking in their natural habitat, as well as lots of birds and wildlife out and about, with regular sightings of the little wallabies exploring the shorelines of South Stradbroke Island.

All our lives will be different as we emerge from the Covid-19 hibernation bubble with a changed attitude and some restrictions to how we live our daily lives. We will see some changes to how we travel, shop, dine and work and we will all wash our hands more frequently. What won’t change is how much small business needs your support and the commitment of our Paradise Jet Boating team to continue to operate ‘Australia’s most exciting jet boat ride’. We have been operating on the Gold Coast for over 15 years and we look forward to providing fun, adventure, thrills, and sightseeing to many more visitors in the years to come. For this to happen, we need you. The Gold Coast is the fun capital of Australia and what’s more fun than 360* spins in the sunshine while you spot Dolphins in the waterways. We can’t wait to have you out for a jet boat ride soon!
