The Gold Coast will become home to the largest event in Australia this decade when it hosts the 21st Commonwealth Games in April 2018. Events are being held in venues across the city from Coomera to Coolangatta with some events also being held in Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville. We are expecting 1.5 million spectators and over 6000 athletes and officials to converge for GC2018 next April.

Getting around during the games:

There is no parking available at venues.

Ticketed spectators will receive free public transport to and from the competition event. You will be required to present your valid GC2018 ticket for the day of travel.

Additional train, bus and light rail G:link services will be added during the games as well as designated ‘park ‘n’ ride’ sites. To plan your public transport visit translink.com.au

Visiting the Gold Coast during the games? Paradise Jet Boating will be operating throughout the games with daily departures on the hour from 9am to 4pm. If you are staying in Southport, Surfers Paradise, Main Beach and Broadbeach areas getting to us will be easy via the G-Link and hop off at Main Beach Station, where we can collect you in our Super Jeep.
